Thank you so much for writing, Forrest; I appreciate the feedback! And thank you for reading Ageosophy. Yes, we know of the Camino trek and how deeply it affects people who have done it. It is definitely a bucket list adventure. Who knows, maybe someday I'll be able to write Ageosophy from the trail.
Hi Doryce, good to hear you are doing well! And good for you that you are walking!! Keep it up; it will do wonders for you. I'm proud of you that you are getting out there. Take care!
I really enjoyed this post and I identify with yours and Andrea's commitment to staying physically active and the joys of feeling a little more sore from our regular activities as we get older.
It made me think of a walk I did across Spain back in 2015 called 'The Camino de Santiago.'
This was not only one of the best experiences I have had in my life, but I think you and Andrea would absolutely LOVE it as well. Not only will you get to brag that you walked across Spain, but the journey is jam packed with 2000 years of history, the food in absolutely in credible, and you meet hundreds of other 'pilgrims' along the route. It takes about a month, and is shockingly inexpensive.
(I've done it 3X!)
Thank you for your blog. I love reading your stories.
It's been a few weeks since I last signed in. Had cataract surgery on both eyes. Doing well. Just wanted to say "thank you for this article". I am an "octogenarian" and try to make it a point in my week to get more walking in -- even it's only at the market where I walk every aisle before checking out. LOL. But I am making a real commitment to take a walk around my neighborhood (which is gated) at least 3x a week and get more exercise. I've noticed that when I walk, I sleep better! Thanks again for this weekly "Ageosophy". Love you!
